Converting a Parkzone FW190 or Spitfire, from 27meg to 2.4 ghz

This may have been covered previously and if so my apologies. I have acquired a used but very usable Parkzone FW 190 (early version) with 27meg TX/Rx and theirs own ACT (anti crash System). Has anyone converted one of these to 2.4 gHz. The model has a brushed motor and runs well on a 2200 3c Li-Po but I am always concerned about radio interference on 27 meg. I appreciate that it would need an new brushed ESC as the existing one is in the same unit as the receiver.

Parkzone used the same kit in the early Spitfires, plus a few others too I suspect, so the conversion would proably be the same for all. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Depends upon the servos they used. The early PZ planes had their own style of servo which would not be compatible with your new Rx. Therefore the worst case scenario is replace the existing Rx and servos. All easy to do. The elevator servo is screwed to the plastic 'skeleton' inside the fuz. Cant remember about the aileron servo - think its just glued into the wing. I converted my spit to brushless with a 3 blade prop. Looks and sounds great, I did add a carbon fibre spar to the wing to stiffen it up for high speed manoeuvres though. teeth 2
