Simon Chaddock
Although a dedicated fixed wing flyer I was given a Wltoys V636 Skylark to play with. Quite a remarkable 'toy' and a good demonstration of the wonders of micro electronics and all done on a 800mAh 1s. A YouTube video showed a Skylark could lift an 808 cam but adding 16.2g to a 100g quad takes its toll on the performance and duration. Now the case of an 808 is quite substantial. It actually weighs as much as the contents! So how about a Depron case instead? The same size as the original but with a flat top and bottom and it now weighs only 8.3g. Of course its nothing like a proper stabilised FPV set up but then it didn't cost anything like it either! It is amazing how 'wobbly' the Skylark is descending when compared to a climb. Presumably the result of the prop blades going in and out of stall conditions. Edited By Simon Chaddock on 17/08/2015 17:14:
