bazza
There seems to have been some different opinions regarding the power required since the original plan was in RCM&E. I am thinking of building this as my next plane and wondered if my SC32 would give good performance or if a 40 would be better.
Peter Miller
Is this the Peter Miller one? If so I think I would go with the .40. The original had a .40 Surpass but it was not really enough
bazza
Thanks for your rapid reply, and yes it is the PM design. I will have to find something else for my SC32 after I have finished off covering on Miss Lizzy. Has anyone out there fitted retracts to the Tony Nijhus 46" spitfire? Always enjoy your plans and build articles, just too many to build! I know you also have a keen follower in Mallorca who I have corresponded with. Peter Miller
Thinking about it, the Midget Mustang is not any bigger than the CAP models so would probably work quite well wih the SC 32. Just keep it light!!
bazza
Thanks Peter, I think I will play safe and overpower it, I can always throttle down! Going to pack planes in car and get some flying in while the weather holds.
