Dai Fledermaus
This idea may be useful if you need to keep your R/C gear dry if it's stored in a shed or garage. Make yourself a dehumidifier with this cat litter stuff which is the same as the Silica you often see in small packets sold with electrical equipment etc. I used an old pair of socks and a home made funnel to fill the socks, tied off the ends and Bobs your uncle. In this case Bob Martin. Obviously, they work best if the bits and pieces you need to keep dry are enclosed in something. . Weigh them before and after to check if they have absorbed any moisture. To dry them out, the quickest way is to put them in the oven at a low setting. No jokes about my wife's cooking and old socks please. Wilco Wingco
Also works if you have wet dogs in the car. It seems to stop the inside steaming up.
Cabbage Man
I use the stuff that caravaners use to reduce mould. Its similar stuff and works a treat. You can also buy a plastic container that keeps the crystals suspended over a water trap. I remove 2 pints a week from a garage that well sealed already. Try ebay or the local caravaners shop.
