Great news

I remember seeing XH558 at Barton. Final low pass then a very steep, almost vertical, climb at full power - I think they still had the full 80,000 lbs thrust available then. With the jet exhausts pointing at the crowd the noise was awsome and it went on and on. High cloud at about 10,000 ft, XH558 disappeared still going up then suddenly almost silence as normal flight and power was resumed.

I am told on good authority that at Woodford an Avro test pilot looped one straight from take off and the prototype did a roll at Farnborough in 1955.

Probably the most aerobatic jet heavy bomber ever made!
