Conwy Soarer
I know there is some great stuff around on Correx and this is similar. I thought I would start a thread for anyone who fancies having a go with this versatile material. As a starter this is a chevron wing made by one of the kids at school, this one is a modified version of the Flite Test Versa Wing. We downloaded the plan and laser cut it from 3 sheets of foam board, all for around 3 quid. A few minutes to cut then an hour or 2 with a glue gun knife and some tape and you have a finished air frame. Only flown once in conditions that were too light, more flight info soon. MattyB
Is that the Hobbycraft foamboard? I bought some to try one of the FT designs, but quickly realised it was a very different product from the Adams foamboard they use in their videos; thicker paper that can't be peeled off, and quite a bit heavier. I only use it for formers etc in Depron foamies now, but I can see it might be good for quick building, simple slopers. Whether it would be resilient enough for combat though I'm not sure!
