electrifying sig rascal 110

Recommended Posts

Hi guys,

I'm presently fitting out  a sig rascal 110, with electric power. I have an axi 5330/24 motor with a jeti advance 90 opto speed controller installed. Power comes from two sharkpower 3700 5s batteries in series. This gives about 41 volts when fully charged. My problem/worry is that when I go to test run everything, I switch on transmitter, then radio power, then when i connect the power cable (positive) to the speed controller a fairly fat spark is given off at the point where the 4mm plugs first touch. Is this normal? The motor runs fine and all seems well, but that big noisy spark doesnt seem right. Can anyone advise? many thanks in advance.
