Andy Meade Posted June 20, 2016 Share Posted June 20, 2016 I have no idea on the area, but looking at Google maps in 3D seems to point to the "hump" on the right as you walk down towards the castle to be a better bet than the castle itself. (hump is west from the castle, just south of the SA buildings and what looks like a maze). Looks more "humpy" and no trees to speak of, with a fairly flat landing area. Whether or not you can get permission to fly there is a different matter This thread seems to mention an edge to the east of the castle, but I can't see it. Ah yes, I can see it - great long ridge running east-west on the footpath out from the castle. Happy flying!
