Photos upload reversed?

Recently, I have been taken photos with my (new) iphone and airdrop them to my ipad - all good so far. Then I upload them from my ipad to my albums, and here the problem occurs - the photos are uploading around the wrong way or upside down - very frustrating?

Any thoughts?

Much appreciated.

Oh, that's a new one! Not seen that. So, what you're saying is you load them into the album and sometimes (or always?) they are upside down and/or back to front?

Can the phone store images in different formats? Is it storing them in plain vanilla jpeg? What happens if you put the image on your computer first - then transfer it to you album?

ISTR it may be something to do with the iPad determining which way it thinks the pic should be viewed - it's been raised here before somewhere - if the portrait format pics load and show correctly, try turning the iPad through 180deg to take landscape format pics.

I'll see if I can find any more info...

not that I can see. oddly, if I email them to my work pc, they are received turned through 90 degrees!

Is it a landscape/ portrait switch that needs a click Rich ?

Justin, Pete was correct, it is the orientation of the iphone/ipad when the photo is taken. if I use my phone and take a photo with the volume buttons pointing down, the photos are transferred ok! what a pita!! on the ipad I believe that you have to take the photo with the camera lens at the top...

Thanks Pete.yes
