Dave Hopkin Posted November 1, 2016 Share Posted November 1, 2016 **LINK** Mine arrived today, initial reaction mostly good with a few reservations Wings dont seem to be detachable with any degree of ease Retracts looks a tad flimsy Other than that looks good, mind you I am not allowed to assemble it till various non flying related jobs are done, says SHMBO....... Haven't got it sorted yet as the spare rx that I had earmarked for it there a wobbly when bound. Replacement on order. Agree about the wings - don't like the fiddly flap arrangement - would have preferred to dispense with the lights to have separate flap servos. I am also having difficulty getting the pushrod for the elevator to hold in the screw in connector. I think I may try to solder a clevis connector onto the pushrod. How are you getting on with yours? Graham Richards 4 Posted February 7, 2017 Share Posted February 7, 2017 Great plane. Looks really good in the air. Flown off grass - lovely gentle flier. Not had success off water as it kept veering hard right on approaching take off speed. I have an Icon which takes off water with no issue. Just need to perfect the technique with the Seawind.
