winchweight
You might as well have said all that in Klingon. I think I get the idea though. So how many leds would be needed to get a decent glow? What sort of power consumption are we talking about?

andy watson
Would LEDs be bright enough to get that effect in daylight? I couldn't help noticing the links all showed the effect in the dark.

Tim Mackey
I use high brights in my "guns" on my Spitfire - a build blog of what I did exists somewhere ... they can be seen quite well in daylight. I power these ( and the landing lights which I did ) off a very small and VERY light ( a few grams only ) 12V LiPo pack I made up myself from single cells. Current comsumption is only a few milliamps.I made the rapid flashing circuit myself and activate the functions as required from the tr using spare channels and my Glo-N-Go electronic switches. winchweight
Nice. These could work for an after burner effect. Did the guns have sound?
Tim Mackey
Nah....This is an IC model ( yes I do still own some ! ) and I quite like the sound of a nice four stroke at full chat.I do of course stand there shouting " tak atak tak tak " as she comes in for a low fast strafing run down the strip . winchweight
Is it the Sportsman Aviation Spit? I think I recognise the gaudy blue colour scheme
Tim Mackey
Yeh...but that has been done away with, and replaced with nice proper warbirds paint via our friend Phil at fighter aces.
