Trevor Crook
Sitting reading the latest RCM&E this morning, I was enjoying reading Alex Whittaker's description of the LADMAC BoB day when I noticed a strange anomoly. On p.15 Alex describes a Fokker DR1 Triplane built and flown by Barrie Sherbourne. The model is pictured on p.14, but the aircraft in the picture clearly only has two wings! The fuselage is very DR1 like, but not being a WW1 expert I can't think what it is - it's certainly not a triplane. Alex or Barrie, are you out there and can you help? Could be a simple mis-caption, but it's so much like a bipe version of the tripe that its a heck of a coincidence.
Trevor Crook
Just finished the article and there's another picture of the "Triplane" on p.18!

Trevor Crook
Ah, seems I'm late to the party, although I did do a quick skim of posts before committing - obviously missed that one. To be fair, I think the quality of writing and particularly photography in RCM&E is normally very good, especially when compared to the other main mag. Be interested to know how Alex got his notes in a muddle.
