Eddy Barker
Hy you guys. I need (need) to build a vintage freeflight that will accept a beam mounted 0.2cc diesel in the next three weeks. What can anyone suggestthat is quick to build? and links to a plan would be awsome. Thanks in advance!
Cliff 1959
**LINK** How about a little Zipper kit, I could post to you tomorrow morning.
Eddy Barker
I built a full size zipper with a sparky up front. It flew off. Would prefer something a little more sedate, I am sure someone will bite your hand off for that though. Anything else, was thinking more English grounds. Doug Campbell
How about these designed for the Clan 0.25? Should be ok with a 0.2. What engine do you plan on using? Braddock, VC
December 2014 Aeromodeller had a plan for "The Dwarf", hi wing pylon designed in 1949 by Dave Hilliard for the K 0.2 or Kalper 0.32 diesels. Should take less than a week. Also shows the r/c conversion.

Paul H
How about a Vic Smeed Tom Thumb which is a 22" version of the Tomboy. Quick and easy to build if time is short https://outerzone.co.uk/plan_details.asp?ID=
Bert
This is ideal for very small diesels IMO https://outerzone.co.uk/plan_details.asp?ID=1474
Doug Campbell
Posted by Paul H on 23/08/2017 12:35:07: How about a Vic Smeed Tom Thumb which is a 22" version of the Tomboy. Quick and easy to build if time is short https://outerzone.co.uk/plan_details.asp?ID=677 If it is the MK1 Hawk the Tom Thumb is not really the best. The Hawk is quite a lot larger and heavier than the Bambi it was designed for so the nose needs lengthening by about an inch. I built one for mine, and lengthened the rear of the fus by 2" as well. Still needed lead at the back
Mike Etheridge 1
Ever seen the Humbrol Hornet ? I once built a rubber powered version and it flew very well .
Mike Etheridge 1
Here it is a free download. A simple modification to the nose would do the trick?
