  1. Thanks for the suggestions so far. Economics do play a part in repairing an old engine. The engine in running order is probably worth £20-£30, so it will end up on the spares pile of too expensive to fix.
  2. Sorry for my late reply, work got in the way again. It has a 15mm throat, see attached pics. Cheers Doug
  3. Thanks for the replies. I will get in the workshop later and measure/photograph it
  4. I wonder if anyone has a carb or worn out engine they would part with. I have a g60 in great condition, unfortunately I dropped it and the bit of the spray bar that clamps the wire needle broke off. cheers Doug
  5. I think the only solution to more onerous regulations is defiance. If we all refused to register with the CAA and comply they would have no choice but to renegotiate
  6. Having read the BMFA response I feel it is a complete sell out of the members. No strong objections to remote ID is probably the opposite of the membership mood. They also spend too much time wanting to keep alignment with Europe. We have gone out own way now and should do what is best for us.
  7. The outlet area looks very large to me. Have you tried blocking one of the outlets-simple to do and easy to undo if it doesn’t work
  8. It's a six hour round trip for us, but it was an enjoyable day out on the Sunday. It was breezy but lots sunshine. I think the weather forecast put a few off, but we got in plenty of flying and socialising. The r/c end looked pretty quiet so we didn't venture up there. It was nice seeing Slec there, got lots of accessories.
  9. I have found these castor/synthetic mixtures burn cleanly and keep the engine internals spotless.

Duraglo is a brilliant fuel. Ran it for years with no corrosion, engine wear minimal. Jon let’s his emotions cloud his judgement at times
  11. That is a bit of an over reaction to an obviously tongue in cheek comment. Why are people so intolerant nowadays?
  12. See question mark at end of sentence. I don't know so was asking
  13. Didn't realise they had two piston rings. Good for sealing but poor for passing lubricant to the bottom end?

So it quits nose up and transitioning to full throttle. No getting away from it, it is lean. Keep opening main needle. Check for leaks again.
  15. I have found one. Pm me your address and I will get it in the post
  16. Mike Crisp should do just a needle
  17. I might have a spare . Will have a look later
  18. I would check the o rings on the needles first. They age and leak air. Quick easy fix to try first
  19. Yes, and if not listed message him. Parts normally arrive in four days
  20. Call Ken Enya direct. Very fast and cheap
  21. Hi Rich i wonder why you decided on the radio link? I have one of their earlier 6 channel sets. It works well but as they were never very popular you are limited to where you can buy parts and receivers from. why not take a look at the Flysky I6. £40 for tx and receiver, a solid link and good range. Receivers are cheap and plentiful. I put 4 eneloop batteries in mine and charge it twice a year.
  22. Have you tried Andrew Boddington? He did have some spares a long while ago.
