Andrew Kane
Dear Chip Shop builders, I have been following this forum for quite a while and become inspired to build one of these myself! I have had this on the go for about a year and so far it has been a slow and steady build, limited by professional exams and a baby. But some parts are now beginning to look ok I think and i thought it would be good to share the experience with you. Hoping eventually to get this off the ground with a bright RCAF paint job. I bought the Traplet pack just in time it seems and managed to get a set of hinges which were left over in slec from Danny Fenton's efforts- so thank you for that! I've tried to pick up on much of the advice and experiences of those of you who have gone before me but any comments and wisdom you may have if you spot me building myself into a corner are most welcome! Some photos to follow... Andrew **LINK**
Andrew Kane
So the kit came over a year ago now... Like many of you I started with the wings adding tabs to try and ensure the correct washout... And then made the main sections of the wings up... Andrew Kane
Wing section frame built (yes I need to shape the central leading edge). Only about 2mm difference in height of the leading edge at the tips so relatively pleased with that!

Andrew Kane
More progress with control surfaces... added some rings to the pre-cut hindges which i got from slec. Then able to mock up the surfaces with some piano wire. Seems to be working ok so far...
