PatMc
I have an original Taranis that I've updated several times both in hardware & firmware. The firmware is now at Open Tx 2.19. Wifey wants to buy me this manual for Xmas. Does the manual cover 2.19 or would it be best to update to 2.2 anyway ? Since the manual is actually aimed at X9D Plus, is it still relevant to my older version Tx ? I would appreciate any early, knowledgeable comments as I intend ordering a few more items from T9 in time for Santa. Andy48
Simply look in this forum and there is a full 160 page manual for OpenTX 2.1.9, totally free. Covers every aspect of OpenTX. As yet it has not been updated to 2.2 as this is still in development with plenty of changes still in the offing. Much of the OpenTX 2.2 new stuff is aimed at the newer transmitters only. There is very little difference between the X9D and the X9D Plus, only the haptic, which with the speech available, I personally never use. **LINK** This is in the "Extras" section, and if you scroll down you can find the 6 sections ready for downloading. It prints out easily if you need a hard copy. Otherwise see here: **LINK**
PatMc
Thanks for the response. I already have downloaded the on line manual you link to but at times it's more convenient to have a paper copy & a second version (opinion) manual is also nice to have. As I always get presents of books I don't really want & only glance through over the Xmas period, I thought this at least might have been put to some use. In the end I've ordered the bits I wanted but not bothered with the book.
Andy48
Still cheaper to print this out and store it in a loose-leaf folder.
PatMc
Hmm, the Blue Peter/Ebenezer Scrooge Xmas pressie policy. I think Mrs Pat would prefer to extend a more generous gesture of Xmas goodwill.
Andy48
Wasn't thinking of getting Mrs P to print it out for you for Christmas, just pointing out that it prints out well.
