fly boy3
Hi all, I need to remove a lot of pictures from my old PC before it dies lol. I am trying to down load them to a memory stick. Can I just click on the words " my pictures" or will I have to highlight each one and do the hard way. Thanks
Paul Marsh
Highlight the folder you want to copy. Press <CTRL C> then go to the destination directory and press <CTRL V> Called copy and pasting, Commands are: CTRL C Copy CTRL V Paste CTRL X Cut. so you can use cut and paste/copy and paste. The commands can be done under the drop-down box, but is quicker and more positive.

Paul Marsh
I was using the simplest way, as sometimes the mouse control if you're not in control you can make a mistake.
Keith Lomax
If you are using keystrokes, then CTRL A is select all. If you want all of the pictures together in a subfolder on the memory stick, take the whole folder using Paul's method, or just drag it between two windows of explorer (one for the PC and one for the memory stick. If you want to move them to the root of the memory stick (may be necessary if you want to display them on a smart TV, for example) then go into the pictures folder and select all then copy - using either mouse or keystrokes - then go to the memory stick folder and paste. Richard B (DB Sport and Scale Ltd)
If they're very important photos, I'd copy them to two places before your old PC goes or are deleted. Memory stick and new computer or two memory sticks, memory stick and DVD, etc, etc. One memory stick can go wandering or get damaged.
