Robert Edney
Just purchased a new model it's a glider but I was wondering if it would be possible to put a small motor on the model? Will post pictures in a minute

Robert Edney
I don't think my building skills are up to trying that sort of thing I was thinking maybe a folding prop at the front, if not then I will just use it as a glider and then it might help me with my flying skill as it won't get out of control so quickly like my first build which is still in airplane hospital!! Denis Watkins
Yes Robert, you can power most models Have a look at BRCHobbies, Robot birds, 4max, and Micron Radio Control online

onetenor
The pylon could be one secured by bands over the wings type or screwed or clipped onto the fuselage Either on the nose or behind the wing.
Chris Channon
Cambrian used to do a wing mount for a cox .049 sure that could be made to fit 'leccy or go with a Cox.
Tom Thomas
Pylon mounted power systems are so dated. I managed to put an electric motor and prop on a Bird of Time, it can be done on anything. just ask the amazingly talented leccy types here what set up best suits your needs. As for cox? Nowadays ..... if you can keep it quiet and have fun? Then I think it's best.
Cuban8
I flew a similar 'leccy converted glider for a friend at the weekend and I'd forgotted how much fun such a simple model could be. Small nose mounted motor and folding prop is way to go IMHO - 2200 3S easy 20 minute flights and much more with good lift. Sacrilege in some circles, but forget the Cox, never understood the appeal of those noisy, oily little beasts.
