(22.00-0630)I tried getting the CMP Discus over the weekend and was told they are discontinued...They have replaced it with the Mkll with the red spoilers and retractable landing wheel for £115...Don't need the extras, anyone know of a little model shop that has the Mkl lurking on a shelf gathering dust..? I'll continue my web search this week.......

David Martin 2
Yes Eric, I was told the only way I could get one now was from a small shop somewhere, most large retaillers would have sold out after the MW review earlier this year.I haven't given up hope yet though.. Keith Lewzey
I got mine from TJD for £65 in the spring but they have removed it from their website now. Al's are showing it on their site still for £90. Don't know if they have any stock left though. Good luck
David Martin 2
Hi Keith,TJD's is my local model shop and I was disappointed to miss out on the model at that price... never mind. There's 3 different versions of this model about it seems...http://alshobbies.com/shop/lookupstock.php?pc=7731&Desc=discus This is the MKl that I have just ordered and hope Ali isn't going to turn me down in a day or 2's time..!http://www.sussex-model-centre.co.uk/shopexd.asp?id=26931 This is the CMP MKll version now sold under the Flying Dreams manufacturer and incorporates red spoilers, retractable landing wheel and tow hook.http://www.gliders.uk.com/prodinfo.asp?number=JAM020701 This one is the electric version with a different nose to make motor/spinner mounting easy.Cheers......... David Martin 2
No luck with the model in the end, Ho Hum. The CMPro DG-1000 looks very similar though and flies well enough.......http://s3.amazonaws.com/hobbylobbyvideo/HC004-DG1000.wmvThat's one good lob.... David Martin 2
I haven't heard many people claiming these models do aerobatics.....I take it they would easily loop and do slow co-ordinated rolls and stall turns etc... can't see why not, they must be strong enough and caperble of reaching good entry speeds I'd have thought....
