  1. hi bob, be realy thourough when you check the hinges if they are plastic.i bought an old spitfire with a saito 80 in it we checked every thing before geting it ready for flight and checked it again at the field all seemed to be in good order but after5 mins flying the right full lengh aeleron was hanging down and one half of the elevator was missing luckily my test pilot was flying it so it landed ok. the hinges had all snapped
  2. hi there i ve been lurking on the forum for a few months since i sold all my models and gear due to 2 heart attacks 2 strokes diabetes and kidney disease but having flown my brothers electric glider the bug has returnedthe stroke has messed up all my left side making my hand arm head very touch sensitive and i cant walk very far so i bought today 3 small models today at a salisbury swap meet £50 for all 3 all electric i will not get any ic as a prop strike would be agony i am going to try to keep them within the confines of the patch so i dont have to walk to far as the patch is surrounded by crops and a poo farm my brother lost his cougar in a field of maise there and gave up after searching for 2 hours went back after harvesting and found one servo and some covering .just got to get some bateries and recievers and a charger and i.m go to go
  3. well dave came back for another loaD YESTERDAY, hefilled his transit again and has got to make another trip to get the rest. but now i can walk to all four corners of the loft for the first time in 15 years, thought i would be sad to see them all go but seeing how hard dave has had to work for his money i,m glad i didnt try to do it myself.joke will be if the stroke syptoms go away which i am told may happen,i will have to start again. i will still go to the patch with my brother some times and have a fly with one of his planes, no cost no work he he bye for now phil

  5. thank you, job is half done, at least 15 or more planes and bits to go he filled a transit to the roof yesterday. i managed about 6 trips up and down the stairs carrying nothing and i am paying for it this morning, left side from head to toe is very stiff mustlesvery tight and burning hot. swimbo is waiting for a check up for possible breast cancer on friday. today i have to visit my older brother he has lost a leg and has leucemea has just come out of hospital and moved in to a nursing home in bognor so he is near enough to visit life sucks sometimes but we carry on
  6. just been reading the show us your workshop posts from way back in 2011 i said i was going to have a clear out, well tomorrow is d_ day its all going. as ill health has put an end to my flying any more. some models here go way back to 1995 when i started again but time marches on . 2 heart attacks 2 strokes stage 3 kindey disease and type 2 diabetes has put an end to alot of things. have a bloke coming from somerset to buy the whole lot
  7. want a few more dave i am clearing out a loft full of repairable models if any one wants them all free limbo dancer, renegrade , cub artteck diamond, couger and others collect for west sussex
  8. sods law at work, just paid £60 to have new horn fitted to pass mot found a new horn still in its box in my workshop/tip today

  11. hi bob , the plane has a 63in wing span by 12in chord. the fusalage is 55in, looks like a goose but engine fairings are squared off not rounded?
