Myron Beaumont
Advice please & if a lipo ( 9.6 V) is available I would prefer it . OR can I use a 3S battery with a voltage "reducer" OR should I wait until something else comes up on the "must have" adverts ? Plenty of square batteries about but not flat ! Yes I can use duck tape over the battery aperture but dont fancy that.

Myron Beaumont
Bruce Thanks a million ! ( or should it be a Billion these days ) Shall be making out an order somehow - Never used e-bay before so will work out the procedure shortly, or more likely 'er indoors will ! Brilliant spec Just wondering if I can use my Nicad charger & not have to buy another one - this subject has been covered on the forum I know -must read againThanks so much Myron (grumpy )
Bruce Richards
No do not rely on your Nicad charger to auto detect charge completion on NiMH cells. Either use a charger specificly for NiMH or do a slow charge at about C/10 and charge for 12hours. Infact it is best to charge at this slow rate for the first charge anyway. Tim Mackey
Hello stranger ( Myron )After this initial "forming" slow charge...then .5 to 1C is best for most proper NiMH capable chargers.
Myron Beaumont
Hi Timbo The last time I had a query it was to do with batteries ( surprise surprise ! ) I firstly received a lipo for my Tx that wouldn.t fit (square) -then bought a nimh one that was not much better than my useless nicad but at least lasted over two hours That has been resolved as I eventually read the label telling me it wasn.t nimh but another nicad would you believe !!! & you wonder why I.m grumpy Now considering Vapatex !or is it vapextech ?
