Victor Allen 1
Good morning All. Hope everyone is well and enjoying being able to meet up again when the weather permits flying. I am fairly new to the hobby and decided that as I will need training before being allowed out on my own, I would buy a flight simulator to aid with some of the basics. Midway through 2019 I purchased an RF8 simulator and because my preferred radio was from Spektrum I also bought the wireless free WS1000 Spektrum dongle so that I wasn't tied by cable to the computer. Until 3 weeks ago everything was going well and my daily 30-minute practice sessions had certainly improved my flight ability albeit only on the computer. suddenly, 3 weeks ago my take-off and flights were stopped because during the take off run the right-wing dipped and the plane veered off the runway. Flight is now only possible with aileron trim fully left of centered on the radio which also totally changes the overall simulator flight experience. Now I wonder if this is a problem with the radio, or if there maybe a problem with the dongle. I have checked all the control surfaces on my Wot 4 foam e Mk 2 and they all appear to be functioning correctly (on the ground). What I don't want to do is launch the plaane at the airfield and then lose control of the plane close to the pits area where someone may get injured. So my question is this. Has anyone else experienced problem of this kind with the RF8 or associated Spektrum radio/dongle and if so is the purchase of a new dongle the answer to the problem. Any help or suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Have a good weekend All. Vic
