Exaur
About to start covering a Cambria Elan 100 inch glider and am considering using polyester tissue as a change from see through film. The airframe is strong enough for me uncovered and I am not sure whether to use the Standard or Heavyweight version of polyester tissue that seems to be available - I'm assuming light may be a bit fragile as it seeme to be used for very small models. Main use of glider will be slope or bungee (and probably a future ePower Pod) with reasonably smooth landing areas. Would this material be suitable? Many thanks for any advice. Martin Hodgson
Polyester tissue is quite tough. You should be fine with the standard- it is the one I would choose. The elan is a light(ish) thermal soarer so keeping weight low is important.
