Sorry, I forgot to post the rest of the saga . . . . . I decided to send my repaired trannie to T9 for an expert opinion on my soldering. He said it looked good, and passed a test with his RF meter, so he sent it back to me. As soon as I took it out of the box I got the antenna error messages again. Phoned Richard at T9 and sent the trannie back again. He replaced the RF board, and I've been using it for a few weeks now without any issues. Must've been an intermittent fault, though still a mystery why I didn't get the warning voice when it (presumably) crashed my Hurricane and, a few weeks prior to that, my TwinStar.
