perttime
Until now, there has been no Customs fees and VAT when you have a magazine subsribed to EU, from anywhere else. From July 1st 2021, everything imported to EU has to go through a Customs process, and fees will not be waived, whatever the value of the shipment. The Finnish Customs explains: when my issue of a magazine arrives, the carrier will send me a message advising me to pay a processing fee (€2.90, or something) and get the Customs cleared (pay whatever duties are due). Then, the carrier can deliver the magazine to me. Seems like a cumbersome way to eliminate the previous discrimination against domestic magazines.... Basil
I think youll find the carrier will also charge you a fee for collecting the duty, they dont usually do things for nothing. I speak from experience, it was £12. Bas
perttime
Looks as if the duty&tax side might not be hard to do online here. I suspect I'll find out in the near future. edit: ... if the Customs systems stay up with the increased traffic.
