John Lambert Posted November 3, 2008 Share Posted November 3, 2008 Dear David and all at RCM and E, Many thanks for both your article and the Apache helicopter, which came as a complete surprise, right out of the blue! I'll have a great time with a lot of fun flying. I'm very new to r/c aircraft so it'll give me chance to learn some skills. I've just joined my local club and have been made to feel very welcome, with lots of advice on getting started in the sport and with practical help with getting flying. I have bought an ARTF model, though I'll be learning on the club trainer to get me started. I'm also intending to build a balsa kit over the winter, something like an Aerographic or West Wings, to give me some practical experience of building. The last time I did anything like that I was in my teens - a very long time ago! I've a lot to learn, but I'm finding all very enjoyable and absorbing.
