Joao Alves
Hi again.Tony, can you help me on this question, please? (First posted)Thanks.Regards,Joao
Tony Nijhuis
Joao, I think you could fit ic engines, something like the small 12 size thunder tiger or the Hornet engine that J Perkins import. Both are tiny and have rc carbs. Should be enough room for a 2oz tank and a micro throttle servo in each nacelle.Hope this helpsTony
Joao Alves
Hi Tony. Thanks for your reply. In terms of thrust, the .12 gives same power as the 400 size motor?Regards
Balsa Basher
Hi, Work on my B17 is going ok! I have a couple of questions regarding the Finishing.1) I have tried to paint Silver acrylic car paint directly onto the vac formed turrets and find that it peels off once dry if the turret is flexed. Any help on what I'm doing wrong and the preparation I should be using before applying the top coat?2) ESC questions. I have decided to go the Li-po route and in the next few weeks will be looking for a suitable 50A speed controller. Any help on part numbers and where to buy them would be great help? 3) 5s3p Li-po packs. Although I have not contacted any of the specialists advertised in the RCM&E, looking through the various listings I can only find details upto 5s2p packs. Is the 5s3p pack special (and expensive)? Tony Nijhuis
Before painting on to plastic of any sort, you must 'key' the surface with Wet n Dry or similar....Puffin models do a 50A plus, speed controller so give John Emms a call.As long as you have the 5s (18.5v) then it doesn't matter about number of 'p' Tony
