The Dauntless is designed for a 6S-Lipo, which is mounted directly at the front of the motor former. There was an unpleasant surprise when weighing the center of gravity.

300g of lead in the cowling would have been necessary to achieve the correct center of gravity. Clearly too much.So there was nothing left to do but to saw a cut-out in the engine former. Not very nice for an almost ready to fly model, but possible. Now the Lipo could be pushed forward 6cm

In the picture you can see the distance pieces for the cowling. When fitting the cowling, I used a trick so that the propeller sits approx. 3 mm in front of the cowling. In Germany we call this the cardboard method.4 cardboard strips with a hole of 3mm diameter are attached to the fuselage so that the holes are exactly over the distance pieces of the cowling. Then simply slide the cowling over the distance pieces and drill the holes. That"s all

The Dauntless is quickly assembled and is ready to start after approx. 1 week. The building instructions are international and anyone can build the model. At the moment the airfield is still too wet and you can't fly yet. A flight report will follow later.I don't know if you can get the kit in England. If you do, you get a very nice model at a good price.

In Germany the Dauntless is distributed by D-Power. The Engine is a AL4206 by D-Power.
