andy watson
Hi,If any of you are the type of hoarder that keeps all your back issues of RCM&E, then you are just the kind of person I am looking for!I am about to start a build of the John Carpenter JU87D plans that were given out free in the magazine some time in the past. David has kindly offered to send me a copy of the article if I can tell him what issue they were in. I'm hoping the designer knows, but I thought someone on here might be a better shot. So if you can't sleep tonight, rather than counting sheep, why not have a flick through those back issues!CheersAndyps the grand prize is the build article, and it's coming to me- not you! Dave S.
RCSQ1636 - not in RCM&E according to my own database, but in RC Scale Quarterly, Oct/Nov 1990. If Mr. Ashby doesn't have a copy, I do and can scan the article if the copyright holders allows. Incidentally, I used to be a clubmate of John Carpenter and saw the model fly many times. Dave S. Dave S.
And 100% homemade. The mags are in plastic boxes in our woodshed at the moment, dry but cold!Dave S
andy watson
Many thanks Dave,This interweb jobbie is incredible. One of my students asked me if flies have toes this morning- within a minute we were looking at a flies foot.
Dave S.
Indeed it is - but what is the answer, do flies have toes or not? I never get questions like that from my students! Let me know if you want a scan of the article (assuming David Ashby gives the OK). Dave S

Dave S.
David, is the 'no problem' as reference to my offer to scan the article for Andy? If so, I'd better go and dig the mag out the woodshed before it gets dark! Dave S
David Ashby - Moderator
Yes but I did send Andy a copy so he may be ok Dave, he'll be along soon ......
Dave S.
OK, I'll hold fire on the scan, but the box of RC Scale Quarterlies is now in the house warming up, threatening to disrupt both my work and model building schedules!
