James M
hi(gh) KV High KV outrunners, where to get them from? I'm using a 2600kv motor from Hi Model on a flying wing and it has been working well until i had a bad landing and did the bearing in. Was looking at the Scorpion HK22 range as a replacement, more power and more speed, but scorpion have changed the design on the motors, on the version 2 range they have a fan at the base and you can nolonger reverse the prop shaft Any on got any ideas on where to get an outrunner of a similar kv (2600) - prop size limitations - of about the 250 watt range ?? I've looked and drawn a blank
winchweight
2200kv 3200kv 2840kv 2350kv 2570kv That should get you started. BRC, Giantcod, Budget-rc, Puffin, FoamyJet all do a fair range of brushless outrunners.

James M
Thanks for the info folks but think I've discounted the original motor too soon I've just read that a bad bearing will suck power from the system, one day I'll remember my basic engineering. Going to try an identical replacement and see how I get on.
