jack lackmaker
please be aware if you send your dx6i back to horizon for modifation they will not be repairing it but will replace it with a new one unfortunately they have not any stock and do not know when they will have it seems as if the fault is more serious than they first thought. David E
Bummer. I'm looking to buy a DX6i too. That would explain why no-one has any stock Maybe I need to start looking at alternatives?
Frank Skilbeck
Just a quick update, friend of mine returned his a week ago, got his new one today complete with new Rx. So one very pleased modeller. to Horizon.
Terry Mills
I was told that the problem is a dodgy batch of potentiometers. The Spectrum website shows what to check, although my Tx greyed out which made it very difficult to see if it was moving erratically. I have been promised a replacement this Thursday - fingers crossed.
David E
Glad to hear they're beginning to get new units out now. I have found somewhere with some in stock, just wondering if I should wait to see whether all issues have been resolved before ordering. Frank Skilbeck
If you find one with the date code, buy it, send the Tx back and get a new one with a free Rx..............
David E
heh, yeah, I'm tempted, but who knows how long i'd have to wait? Toying with the idea of going for the DX7 instead at the moment anyway.
Big Bandit
Hi All, picked a new DX6i yesterday from Tony's Models and Hobbies in Leicester, I think he has more in stock. Cheers, Chris.
David E
Thanks Chris, have you checked the date code against the recall?
David E
Just thought I'd let you know, Inwoods now have them back in stock. I decided to buy a DX7 in the end, as they're lowered the price and it didn't work out that much more expensive.
Big Bandit
David, Yes his son was talking about it and it's the newer one, well chuffed . I'm still keeping my other 35 Meg gear, but cant wait to try out the DX. Cheers, Chris.
Chris 75
David E The internet Inwood DX7 price is the same as several months ago but the DX6i has gone up. Where did you find the lower price? Chris
David E
Maybe I was only quoted the price with the servos previously, but anyway, it was cheaper than I had found it anywhere last time round. I bought from Inwoods. They include a Tx battery which often isn't included in the price.
