Simon Chaddock
Given the basic simplicity of these motors I was surprised to find that one my two CF2822 out runners does not seem to work properly (the other is ok) and so are the pair of 2812s. It sometimes will not start at all and at other times cuts out momentarily. At first I assumed it was the ESC but with another motor on it works fine. I can only imagine that one of the windings is damaged in some way and it is confusing the timing of the ESC. Fortunately these motors are as "cheap as chips" so a replacement is on the way. I don't know how common this sort of fault might be (for me its 1 in 4!) but if I had bought just one motor I would have had nothing to compare it with and would have had no end of trouble getting it into the air! Andy Ramsay
I've had one burn out on me and a second now playing up, doesn't like full throttle. To be fair the one now playing up is a combination of the stator from a crashed example and the housing and shaft from the burn out. Have probably had about 20/30 flights with this cobbled example before experiencing problems.
