Mike Downs
Hi all, I have just converted mine to brushless....I went to the 4 Max site as they do a conversion kit....I would add a link if I knew how to do it! I have 1050 Kv Motors with a pair of 22 amp ESC's and powered by 2500mA 11.1V batteries driving 7x3.5 props
Gaz Elliott
Cheers guys (Mark and Mike) Now My dilema is that on searching The Codster (G.C.) site. I found your motor Mark ( Choosing this site due to quicker delivery. They only have 1 motor in stock. Not too good for the twin star. Would this motor be any good and if so what size esc and prop. http://www.giantcod.co.uk/22179t-200w-950kv-brushless-outrunner-motor-p-402458.html Gaz
Marc Humphries
Gaz, Try this from BRC. BRC Combo I use this in a GWS Formosa with great results. I'm sure the GC motor will be fine if you explain your requirements. Anything around 200 - 300 Watts for the Twin Star will give a very pleasing performance without being silly. Marc Humphries
Well, my brushless Twin Star now flies with a 3S 4000 Zippy LiPo back. Amazing performance. This battery holds its voltage so well that I'm getting 420 Watts. It's too much for the GWS props; going to have to get some better props and prop drivers. A 12 minute flight only takes 1900 mA - so up to twenty minutes will be on the cards.
