IanN Posted June 12, 2009 Share Posted June 12, 2009 When I mentioned flying from Worcester MAC's Perdiswell field in the late 70s on another thread earlier today, and Timbo said he'd been a member there a few years later, it got me thinking. Would there be any mileage in a "Flyers Reunited" topic? Make the thread title the club you used to be a member of, and take things from there. Fond memories of Worcester. Our chairman, Sid, flew (I use the term loosely) an early Kavan Jetranger. Usually involved 20 seconds of spectators running for cover before it returned to earth. Treasurer competed at Nats standard c/l scale. Us kids raced profile c/l models. Only rules were 1.5cc engine and standard size keilkraft teamrace tank., first to 100 laps won. The field was shared with football pitches and a very active dog club who raced greyhounds and whippets from their adjacent patch. The mix of those three activities was occasionally hairy and often hilarious. Happy days!
