Advert

Hi Paul. RCM&E ran a news story in the February 2004 issue about a Richard Morgan, who had been found guilty of 32 separate deceptions of people from the scale modelling community. The Richard Morgan in question received a suspended 18-month prison sentence.

I can't say without further information whether the gentleman you're talking about is the same Mr. Morgan, of course. I'd be interested to know why you asked for feedbck on him, though.

Hi Tom,

Yeh this is him alright. He advertised in one of the mags which I then answered. I wanted a couple of models building, and guess what, yep, he ripped me off for several thounds of pounds.I did manage to get most of the money back over a fairly long period of time though, this was only after threataning to get the police involved. Looks like he's up to his old tricks again. We need to warn people about this bloke !!!

Thanks for the info Tom

It started Oct 2005 but it wasn't until March 06 I new something was badly wrong. It finished around three weeks ago, it's taken me all that time to regain the money he took. I didn't know about his convictions so I'm now concerned as to where he got the money to pay me back. With ref to the Police, would they be able to do anything now as he has actually paid the money back. With all it costs in this day and age to get to court would the C.P.S. want to go ahead with a prsecution, the answer is unfortunately probably not. I feel a bit of a pratt about it all to be honest, I've never been taken in like that before.

Be glad to hear what you think.
