Brian Cooper
Posted by mark bennett 1 on 06/02/2010 16:43:53: Brian, am a right in thinking you have 2 elev servos at the back? I'm just building the spitfire 90 at the moment with yt air retracts (had a spare set) and an OS120 surpass 3. I want to use 2 servos for elevator, from a balance point of view do you think its better for me to mount them at the back or place them up front with long piano wire snakes? Would prefere a rear mounting for control setup but dont want to put lead up front . Yes, mine has got two servos in the tail for the elevators. It balances perfectly, but mine has a petrol engine, and the batteries (both of them) are in the tank bay. Be careful if you’re using a lightweight engine. It might be best to try a dummy run by taping two servos to the tail to see how it balances before you commit to fitting them. B.C.
