Big Bandit
Hi All Doe's anyone know of a fairly cheap alternative for the Eflight park 450 brushless out runner. It's rated at 14 amps continuous at 890 Kv. I have an E-pro 2832/22 rated at 16 amps 924 Kv, and wondered if this would work. Cheers, Chris. Tim Mackey
Yeh, should be fine, pretty close in spec - and higher current rating too which can only be good.

Simon B
I replaced the 450 with a Hong Kong motor with the same kv rating etc and it was fine in my Mini Pulse.
Big Bandit
Thanks Tim, Simon, Just need to sort out the mounting now or reverse the shaft, it's a tad lighter too so that will allow a larger lipo. Cheers, Chris.
Simon B
No worries. I couldn't justify the £50 (ish) for the E-Flite, when there were cheap hong kong motors for £10! Fortunately it seems to be a standard size.
Big Bandit
Simon, Tried the Epro on a 9 x 6 APC prop and 2800 3s lipo @ 140 watts on the watt meter so it's near enough for jazz. although I'll use an 1800 3s for the model. I did however manage to pick up fairly smart little chinese motor at the Nats yesterday 300 Watt 930 Kv for a tenner with a mounting kits thrown in. It was from a new distributor who I haven't seen before but not much to loose on that one. It looks a bit over spec for the Taylorcraft, but I'll build something for it during the winter. Cheers, Chris.
