Greg Chiswell
Hi folks, Just taken a 120 quid gamble on ebay and purchased this piper cub model. Hope i have not just wasted a 120 lol Its glass fibre fuserarge and cowl, with wood covered foam winds. Im guessing its a satio fs engine, its all new but i need to identfy the actual model so i know what i am dealing with... Desicription Wingspan 6ft, total length 53inch Engine unknown? Pictures: Any ides?!
David Ashby - Moderator
Hi Greg, Hmm glass fus, that's unusual, it has a 1970/80's feel to it . What size is the engine?
Greg Chiswell
I have no idea! As i said it was a blind shot! It has a very robust looking slide engine mount. I'm assuming a 60 to 80 size but its old Satio as its a one part muffler. I 'think' it was worth the 120 gamble, the old (but never used) FS would suit something else (Assuming its not a nightmare to run!) could be a really nice scale model with the correct finishing. Just going to have to scratch build componets if i can't identify the model/plan.
Ross Clarkson
I can't help you with the model or plan but as far as i am concerned, that looks like a very good buy. Keep us informed with its progress please.
Greg Chiswell
I shall pick it up and work out where to go from there. I may just sell it i think i have enough on my plate! I have a similar size cub already going to have a fleet soon! Edited By Greg Chiswell on 08/09/2009 22:51:
