Ross Clarkson
Hi all, I have decided that my second and next model will be the above. I will be running an OS .61 Max FX engine in it and will be getting a DX7 for xmas. I am struggling with servo selection though. I would like 5 x good servos to go in the above and also so they match with the DX7 and AR7000 Rx. Any suggestions? I will pay for quality and speed. Thanks, Ross. Tim Mackey
Any servo will work with the Spektrum sets - TBH you could do alot worse than the rather nice digitals which come as part of the set - usually bundled with the rather excellent AR7000. simon barr
Hello Ross, I've got one of these, I use it to give potential newbies a go at flying on buddy-box; it's a lovely model to fly, very docile and it can be slowed right down for perfect three point landings. I've got a Super Tigre 75 in mine and standard Futaba 3004 servos.
Ross Clarkson
Hi Simon, Your the first i know that has one which is good to know. Do you think it will be good enough for my second model? I want to start stepping up the aerobatics a bit. Its not too docile is it??? Cheers to Timbo also. simon barr
Yes, in my opinion it would make a good second model, and yes it is fully aerobatic. I have been flying for years and I have got the Extras, the pattern ships etc., but I really enjoy the docile handing of this model. The only thing I changed with the kit were the elevator and rudder push-rods...they were far too stiff in the outer snakes, so I mounted the elevator and rudder servos at the tail end. It would probably be easier to re-align the push-rods though...
Stephen Grigg
Where can I see a picture of this model.Did buy a small Kyosho model about a year ago wasnt to impressed, the gearbox cog kept slipping and the cost of spares was very high.Ordered a replacement gearbox, never did turn upEdited By Stephen Grigg on 26/09/2009 10:18:
