MODEL IDENTITY
simon barr replied to GARY BLANDFORD-HULL's topic in Gliders and Gliding - General Discussion
Hi Gary. I see you haven't had any replies for this one which is unusual, as there is normally someone in the know. I don't know what it is, but could it be an early Chris Foss Phase "something-or-other"? It may just be a "Bitsa" or a plan build. Hopefully this reply may nudge others into replying with more info. March 2024 Issue - advice on replacing a Nimh RX pack with a Lipo
simon barr replied to leccyflyer's topic in RCM&E Magazine
I swapped from NiMhs to lipos as receiver packs simply for practical reasons... It only takes less than an hour to charge, and I would be charging flight packs anyway, so can be out flying (power or glider) with just a couple of hours notice. -
I think its the camera... the cabane struts are doing the same thing.

World Models Super Frontier Senior.
simon barr replied to aidan mcatamney's topic in All Things Model Flying
Looks like their version of the SIG Kadet Senior which is also an excellent model. -
If you know he paid 750 Euros for it, and you think that is a reasonable price for that kind of model, then that's the maximum you should offer him, in my opinion, so 500 Euros would be a good starting point.

Could be a wing for a Uno Wot.
-
It may still be a Wot4 wing, as the mark 3 (I think) had a tapered wing... straight LE, tapered TE. Afraid I don't know the dimentions, but the standard "straight" wing Wot4 was 52 inch span.

2s 20000mah Lipo receiver battery ?
simon barr replied to tigerman's topic in General Electric Flight Chat
Unless you are using a high voltage capable receiver and servos, make sure that you are running the 2s pack (7.4 volts) through some sort of voltage regulator to reduce the voltage down to a max of 6 volts, or else everything will fry. -
I was looking for one at the end of last year. I don't do any social media stuff, but my son-in-law found one for me on FaceBook Marketplace (if that's the correct title).
