BPLR Madslide 2.3M (King Size)

Recommended Posts

Hi, has anyone any experience of the BPLR Madslide 2.3M 3D Slope Soarer, have seen the crazy videos, downloaded the plans and am thinking of building two with my mate Paul. Will probably try and find someone else to cut the wing out of foam and will build rest traditionally out of balsa and ply as per the plans. The plan shows a one piece wing, but might investigate modifying to a two piece plug in wing.

Here's a link to the Madslide webpage you need to scroll to the bottom and click on the image.

Video can be found here

Cheers

Well I have the plans for three different versions, 1500, 1700 and the original 2300. Just wanted to gauge how good / bad a model it is, it certainly is flown very well by Benoit. Will have to decide which one to build, the 2300 is tempting as it is a monster, printed out the full size plan at work on 8 pieces of A1 paper! Although the 1700 would be more practical, (only 2 pieces of A0) it also shows a built up wing which I prefer as I havn't a clue how much a custom foam wing is going to cost. Guess I'll have to get off my lazy fat backside and get a quote
