andrew wise 2
I'm not sure if this is the right place for this question but hey! here goes. I have a 80" Mick Reeves Hurricane It was given to me I guess it was built a few years ago. It is fitted with mechanical retracts no servo, I'm not sure of the all up weight of the aircraft, Can anyone help with what servo I should fit etc. Changing to air retracts I do not belive is an option due to the contruction of the foam core wing around the retract bay I think I have to go with what I've got if possible. Thanks for your help
Tim Mackey
Usually a purpose designed (non proportional) retract servo would be used - something with sufficient torque to ensure a full operation of what could be quite heavy loads. Its also best to deploy a separate battery for the retract servo, to prevent a stalled leg /servo draining your radio battery. andy watson
Mick Reeves do sell a retract servo- but I think it's about £50, I guess it's for their larger models. They should be able to tell you what requirements the servo should have though, and you will then be able to go through the regular suppliers to get one.
