  1. How cool is this?! http://www.gizmag.com/quadrocopters-throw-catch-balance-pendulum/26393/?utm_source=Gizmag+Subscribers&utm_campaign=6a542e8a0e-UA-2235360-4&utm_medium=email Phil
  2. Hi Tim, Made a start on Rivets last night, really looking forward to this one! Quick question on motors. Any thoughts on other suitable units or power required overall for decent performance? Just wondering if I've got something to hand rather than buying anew. Regards, Phil Edited By Phil E on 12/07/2012 09:59:19
  3. Cheers Pete, many thanks for your help. Will study suggestions, would be really nice to get the Fox back in the air! Phil
  4. Quick question relating to another thread I've got on the go. Suggested prop for a new motor is 11 x 4.7. Is the 10 x 6 folding prop I already have suitable or not? Cheers, Phil
  5. Overall I too have been disappointed with the Fox particularly as it is suppose to "scream aerobatics". Actually my ESC went up in smoke on the second flight so has already been replaced and upgraded to a 28A and it's certainly the motor that is in need of replacement now. Nice looking model but needs more power!. Phil
  6. Still not really got thsi sorted. Would this be ok for the Fox? http://robotbirds.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=56_325&products_id=880 Although suggesting a 11 x 4.7 prop on 3s could I use the existing 10 x 6 folding prop? Any thoughts, anyone? Phil
  7. Out of interest is Peter Holland still with us? Phil
  8. Just been trawling through plans that are available. Anyone any further information or pics on Peter Holland's Doodle Watt? Looks interesting and different! http://www.myhobbystore.co.uk/product/15990/mag74--doodle-watt Phil
  9.  Interesting video here on 3D printing producing a model aircraft. Is this the future?  http://www.newscientist.com/article/dn20737-3d-printing-the-worlds-first-printed-plane.html?full=true Phil
  10. Suspect I'm in need of replacing the motor on my ST Models Fox. Anyone know if such spares are directly available or what a suitable replacement might be? Currently uses a 10 x 6 folding prop, believe it is 900kv with a threaded shaft. All help appreciated!Phil
  11. Anyone know if BRC's email address is still: [email protected]?I emailed them on Thursday with a problem and haven't had a reply just yet and can't now see an email address or contact form on their website. Thanks, Phil
  12. I don't doubt www.parkjets.com has been highlighted before though it's new to me. I'm really impressed with the number of free plans available and am taken by one in particular, the seaplane Polaris. My question is, is the kit of this model available anywhere in the UK? Phil
  13. Hi Simon, Any more progress with this? I've been looking at this kit for some time and think it's about time I bought one! Would be interested to know if it's finished and flown? Phil
  14. Cheers Stephen,   Part of the attraction of the Harvard was the price so I might have a rethink as to my next project. Can't decide between the P40 and the FW190!   Phil
  15. Hi Stephen,   I've just had an email to say the Harvard I'd ordered online over the weekend was now sold out and no more are available at present. Not impressed!   Phil
