Tom,
I've always had an interest in autogyros and other forms of unusual aircraft. However, as is often the case, I never did get round to building and flying one.
Then, a few weeks ago a friend turned up at the field with one of the HK Durafly Auto-G's which immediately caught my attention. After a few attempts it was flying quite nicely and my interest was definitely sparked, although I wasn't overly impressed by the quality of the head plate assembly and the poor looking servos/weak pushrods.
So, after some research I came upon your Crane Fly here and on the other site. And, I have to say what a great source of inspiration it's been. To cut a long story short, I'm now planning to build the Crane Fly Light as my first venture into into the dark side once you've finalised the design.
Cracking thread!
Steve.
