Richard, I don't understand the myth people continue to perpetuate that PSS models need a gale, come to an event and you'll see we fly in just as marginal conditions as a sport model. Have you ever actually tried PSS or is your opening statement a continuation of ill informed clap trap? -

Reading this thread I can't help but be amused by such a large amount of ill informed speculation. Do any of you actually work for Amazon, I suspect not, so how do you know what's actually going on? -
I can't vouch for that one but I have an older iteration a few years back, tried it once and never again, eventually binned it. Thankfully I'd got it through my old job for nowt. It flexed a lot in use and didn't hold the tool securely.

I feel sad for the team that lost such a nice model and it was being flown really well too but it just validates my concern about such big models. Look how quickly it came apart.

Fantasy PSS Rivington Hawk Build Off Anyone?

Ian, my suggestion would be to build from an established plan like the Andy Conway Hawk or the mass builds that have plan packs available, the Jet Provost or the Skyhawk. All are proven flyers, look scale unlike the Rivington one and there are loads of available schemes available for all of them -
He's no stranger to emergencies, see how quickly he reacts to the engine failure to trade speed for height. I'd trust him any day.

Tim, thanks for investing the time on this. I guess it depends how flexible people are, to keep it easy and prevent people not having what they want I personally think we should order what we want and suck it up that there will be a wait.
