  1. I built a Pee Tee saito 45 engine. The cg on the plan is way out, first flight a roller coaster. You need to be about 25% and it flies fine.
  2. Hi Tim I built a cambrian mustang, covered it with brown paper stuck on with thinned unibond pva,50/50 with water ,but experiment on some scrap parts first. Lightly sand with fine wet and ,but do it dry then, sanding sealer. Flair spectrum spray paint,I put the panel lines on with a 2b pencil and then sprayed it with flair fuel proofer. Doug
  3. Hi spanner, a chap in our club has one but he got from a third party so i can't give details of who designed it. The basic details are as follows 1. The fuselage join is approximately where the front of the "A" is on the side of the fusealage in the picture. Either side of the join is a plywood bulkhead faced with aluminium sheet, not sure on thckness but maybe 1/16". In each corner is a fixing, 4of, which comprise of keyhole slots in the front plate and mushroom headed pins in the back plate,so the pins go into the key hole and slide down to lock. Not to sure about this next bit,as I remember there was a nylon wing bolt going up from underneath to hold the two parts together. The two servo's in the tail half worked closed loop systems. These servo's were on a removeable sliding wooden tray for access and maintenance, but i cant recall how they were dismantled. The servo's are then conected with extension leads.
  4. Hello everyone,I'm a bit new to this forum stuff so I thought I'd start with this.I'm building from this free plan "Goldie" rcmw nov. 2004 and i've got to the nose bit. In the write up that was in the mag it says that you can buy an abs cowl or roll one from plywood.Being a diy sort of person I thought Iwould go for the built up version. Now the problem nowhere that I can see on the plan does it give a distance from F1 to the prop driver, which would be really useful to get c of g right. Has any one built one withe an abs cowl that they could measure please. Regards Doug.
