hello matt-i use a bit of 1/4 hardwood dowel with a plastic pen top fastened to it which is a snug fit over the needle --when the engine is warmed up i adjust the carb and that's it-the only time it need's to be altered are a change of fuel or change of temp summer to winter...an extension on the needle will eventually damage the minute hole inside the carb-due to vibration--even more so on four stroke's...go'es from round to egg shaped and then it's very hard/impossible to tune....(new carb time=££££...... ken anderson............. 1/4 dowel about 6in long............

allan-3 year's ago i started with brushed motor's with nicad's-then brushless with nicad's--then brushless with lipo's---2200/20c-excellent value at £22.00---you'll be gobsmacked at the performance/duration etc--you can't take it with you-your only here once etc.................... ken anderson..... -

hello allan-try brc-you might be surprised at the cost-to replace your motor if t's only a 380-i reckon a brushless motor and controller could be had for about £20...£30 .00 that'll solve your problem................ what you have at the min look's low spec/poor combination............ ken anderson.................... -

hello phil---i'm on to my third gws corsair--the first one i flew for a season liked it that much- decided to buy another and glasscloth it with lightweight stuff(to avoid the hangar rash)as well--anyway got it done-looked beautifull-but the flying was terrible(to heavy) lost all the float on fore-ever of the no1 model. ............ on to no three now-back in original form- brc bell motor/controller-1000/15c/3cell lipo's-no bother--10min's plus flight's-no nasty stall's-float's on for nice landings etc--£28.00 n.p. ready coloured-use for a season and then retire..................... ken anderson..............

hello all--i would be interested to hear how other club's approach the subject of a new member(stranger) joining a club-wanting to learn to fly etc--over the year's i think i've met a fair old cross section of the wannabee model pilot's of different abilitie's--most who would listen to experience'd member's---and a minority who join our club-don't/won't listen and after giving their nerve's and wallet a thump-dissappear never to be seen again............there must be load's of old kit lying around redundant............ ken anderson.................... ps--methink's we have the making of a new thread in this posting--what do you think
