untilThe UK’s longest running heli’ fun fly will take place again in the beautiful Dorset countryside near Charmouth. Run by the AHA (Association of Helicopter Aerosports), all pilots are welcome whether they fly scale, sport or 3D. With so much to do in the surrounding area, it makes for a great family weekend. Yes I was surprised, not all oldies either. -
untilFrom 7pm to 9pm, doors open for table holders at 6.30pm. Tables £10 each (includes entry for one person). Entry £3 per person. Tables limited to 30 only, so booking required. Vehicles greater than 2.1m tall will need to be advised to the organiser due to parking restrictions. Contact Tim Cheal to book by email at [email protected]. Please note this is a new venue for this well-established Swapmeet (ex Deanwater).

Donated to my club to sell but the donor couldn't say where the wings and tail feathers had gone. Looks to be brand new albeit a little grubby. With rudder and canopy base (no glazing). The small diagrams included (and a little research) seem to point to a 3.5m span Valenta version of the ASW-17. Offers invited. I should be able to post this too.

If, like, me, you've more than a few books by Martin Simons on your shelf then you'll be sad to learn that he recently passed away at the age of 93. He was a highly respected writer specialising in gliders and aerodynamics.
