Yes Frank, this is thr Rx I have.Thanks all for your help with diagrams and info, very in formative. I think it sunk in when Frank mentioned the Tx and Rx arials being parallel to each e other. Cheers FB3

Hi all, the Rx anntena leads are quite long. What is best practice to route them in fus. Read they must be at right angles to each other. Does this mean on same plane ? No pun intended.lol Also is there any way to do a range check with this radio ? Cheers

Lovely story Peter. Some very nice videos of the full size flying on u tube too. I fly from an old Raf runway, and have noticed extra lift during hot weather. I put it down to the tarmac runway producing thermals. Cheers FB3

Hi all, I too am in the same position as Tosh, after 30 odd years of ic. Been reading quite a lot about the subject and I am reasonably happy on choosing a power train now. The only part that gets me is the motor kv. What is a ball park number for our normal size sports models ? Thank you.

Thanks all for your kind words. Yes John it was at the time of the revamp of the forum. This also coincided with the passing of my wife of sixty years, and I was in a bit of a state, managed to keep in touch with all things rc with the forum of our friends over the pond. I think it was the hobby ( been flying over thirty years) that helped me get over my bad patch. Cheers As I said, lots of names are familiar to me, it’s like a big family reunion lol.

Hi Jonathon, first call today was from the Amazon lady giving me nonsense regarding Prime. I did what you suggested after the call, TT repeated the Amazon junk number, then told me to press Starr button twice. Hope this sorts out the problem. Thank you all for your help.

I am so pleased that Bonzo,s thread has changed it course to the normal freindly chatter that has made this forum such a happy one for me over many years. Comments have been made in an un freindly way at th e start of the thread. No doubt Covid, lock down, bad weather etc has played its part, and no doubt the comments would not have been said in the same way if circumstances were normal. I am on a few other non modelling forums, but ours has always been the most friendly. Well done lads. Take care.

Hi all, my ch programmer has died. Installed new batts, heating on, then suddenly the programmer readings dissapeared ? Strange thing is the heating is still,on with rads still hot. Suppose I need a new programmer.

Not at all flippant Martin. The expert was recommended to me and most of my stuff is sorted except for the above problem. I have spoken to him via the phone, but he said he is at a loss to explain the problem. At my age I find it difficult to argue with these so called experts. At the moment I can still use my ipad2 to mail people. Is there a way to enter their addresses in manually one by one. Got loads of lockdown time to use up lol. Thanks
