  1. Nice one Peter. I do agree with the big soaring birds and low aspect wings too. I will send for the Sarik plan of this one. Thanks again.
  2. Good Idea I think too. If I buy a current plan, would it suit this particular different build ? Thanks
  3. Hi Peter, sorted name out. It's Shakespeare they make fishing rods. Cheers
  4. Hi Peter, I have acquired a completed beautifully built Easter Eagle. Only needs electrics. The difference is the fus is built up from a 15mm o/d carbon fibre tube. There is a name on it that survived a sanding down. I think it reads Shakkeppear, or near enough. Could be a fishing pole lol. What are your thoughts on this Peter. Only info I have is the CoG position marked from leading edge. Must buy a drawing. Cheers ps I could sort out a picture if required.
  5. Hi, how do I open "ask Peter Millar" thread. Thank you
  6. Thanks Peter, I do have an OS 40 that will do the trick. Thanks
  7. Thanks both. The trouble with hand launching due a bad t/off field, is that you have to land in same field giving your self more grief. As an ic nut I would prefer to wait for a better time to rog.Would a 46,two stroke be too much for this model ? Thanks
  8. Hi all, my Winter project will be P M,s Werewolf. Any one done electric version ? Also due to flying field conditions, is the any way it may be hand launched. Thank. you. ps can any one tell me the AUW
  9. That's the one Pete thanks. Hope you don,t think I,m lazy, but I always forget the search facility. It's called "a senior moment" lol
  10. Hi all , I read a few years ago about a modification to the bulkhead where wing pegs go though. Some thing regarding a weak ness at this point. Can any one please revive this thread, or provide any info. Thank you.
  11. Beautiful model and exellent video Cliff. Keep em coming. Cheers
  12. Hi all, I assume this has been discussed previously. I would like to ask a few questions. Do folk have many adaptors, or is it a soldering job quite often.  Do the same batteries come with different connectors. Thanks Edited By fly boy3 on 30/07/2020 19:32:02
  13. Thanks for replies folks, I think I had a similar problem to Simon. After nearly an hour of trying out many combinations of leads lipos, nmhs etc the message dissapeared itself. Tried again for another thirty mins. but so could not get the message to show. All lipos sorted ok. Cheers
  14. Due to Covid I have not flown yet. So I thought I would check state of lipos. When putting them on charge I get a warning "connection break" This warning is on all six lipos I checked. Is my charger caput. Thanks ps there seems to be no mention of this warning in hand book.
  15. Great job you have done on this model FF, fairings have always been the bane of my life. When you mentioned foam and filler could you expand on this please. Thanks

    Masks

Hi all, as I started this post I would like comment further. The original request was to gain information on what type of masks you my friends are wearing, so I could make an educated choice. It is very interesting to read the pros and cons for wearing or not wearing masks, but I do not think I can make a choice as yet from information recieved. I apologise if one member is bored and I do not mind if the mods close this thread. Cheers FB3

    Masks

Advice required please. As a vunerable adult due to age lol. I need to know what type of masks you guys may be using. There is a bewildering amount of advice out there e g . Washable, single use, medical, etc and at varying prices. I gree you cannot put a price on safety, but we must be reasonable. Thanks ps I did see a video of masks being made in the Far East being put into boxes from a dirty floor !!!
  18. Slightly off topic, due to orientation of our runway we cannot always take off into wind. Not too bad with light winds, but a bit naughty with winds above 10-15 knots. Landing obviously gives most problems at this time. Would a stab. help in these cicumstances I wonder ?
  19. Just for clarification. I did mean when the model just "flies away," without answering to any Tx inputs. Cheers
  20. In my club, only saw two fly aways in thirty years, both times pilot s did not switch on. Jason I think hit it on the head, lack of pre flight checks. You can only check control surfaces etc with switch on. Thanks
  21. Hi all, just wondered how frequent fly - aways are at club level, and if so,what would be most common cause.
  22. I had the same problem with my Super Scorpion. From dowel to dowel stretched diagonally, I needed well over 21inches.joining two band together solved the problem with a large unsightly bulge at the join. Cured this by joining them together with the smallest nylon tie could find. Solved.
  23. Welcome back Vechio, we were worried for a while.
  24. Thanks for your replies all. I always knew modellers and fliers were a sensible lot. Well done Cuban 8, you have said it all. Cheers
